WORLD-CLASS TRAINING LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 1:1 COACHING

Layouts in Avolites provide a visual way to organize and control fixtures, offering more detailed feedback than the standard Fixtures View. By arranging fixtures in a grid-based layout, users can quickly reference what each fixture is doing and select them for programming without needing to use groups or fixture numbers.

Creating and Organizing Layouts

A Layout View can be added by:

1. Opening the Workspace Window and selecting Layout View.

2. Creating a Layout Tab to store different fixture arrangements.

3. Selecting a group of fixtures and assigning them to the layout with a legend label for easy identification.

Fixtures can be dragged and arranged in the grid to match their real-world stage positions, making it easier to select and adjust them during programming.

Why Use Layouts?

Layouts provide real-time visual feedback, displaying fixture attributes such as:

Color and intensity levels – Quickly see which fixtures are active and what colors they are outputting.

User ID and DMX address information – Useful for troubleshooting or referencing fixture assignments.

Additionally, layouts allow fixtures to be selected and manipulated directly from the grid, reducing the need to switch between multiple views.

Customizing Layouts for Different Needs

Full Rig Layouts – A complete view of all fixtures, including house lights and stage rigs, for a high-level overview.

Fixture-Specific Layouts – Separate layouts for different fixture types (e.g., R3 Spots, Wash Lights) to simplify programming.

Multi-Purpose Layouts – Custom layouts for different programming workflows, such as focused selections for specific scenes or effects.
