Volunteers, Directing & Switching
Description
Video directing is a team effort, here are three tips from Rusty Anderson on what to remind your team each time they serve!
Understand basic language
Understand basic language
- Ask everyone to perform the same moves on their camera.
- If someone is moving in the wrong direction, it's important to follow up with them to make sure they understand the request next time!
General stage directions
- Making sure your team understands theatrical stage terms will help them know where you're asking them to capture a shot.
- Make sure your volunteers know everyones name on stage, that way they can correctly get a shot of who they need to.
Have fun!
- Video directing is one of the most team centered production disciplines.
- It requires everyone to play their part, so make it fun!
