WORLD-CLASS TRAINING LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 1:1 COACHING
Audio system design is evolving beyond traditional PA limitations with d&b Soundscape technology. Understanding object-based mixing, emulated acoustics, and advanced speaker deployments opens new possibilities for creating natural, immersive sound experiences in worship spaces. From basic stereo setups to full 360-degree systems, these tools help craft precise audio environments for both live and streaming applications.

Hardware and Processing Foundation

The DS-100 processor serves as the core of the Soundscape system, offering 64 inputs and outputs through either Dante or Milan/Madi protocols. This rack-mounted unit integrates seamlessly with d&b amplifiers through the R1 control software, providing comprehensive system management and routing capabilities for standard PA configurations.

Advanced Mixing and Spatial Control

N-Scene technology transforms traditional mixing by introducing object-based audio control. Rather than relying on basic stereo panning, sound objects can be precisely placed anywhere across the stage, creating natural sound localization for every seat in the house. This approach maintains clarity and presence for both live congregations and streaming audiences, using sophisticated timing and level adjustments across multiple speakers to create convincing spatial imaging.

Acoustic Enhancement and Flexibility

N-Space brings powerful acoustic modeling capabilities, allowing worship spaces to adapt their sonic character instantly. A traditional sanctuary can transform from an intimate speaking environment to a cathedral-like space for choir performances, all while maintaining clarity and intelligibility. The Virtual Orchestra Shell (VOS) application provides acoustic feedback for performers while preserving optimal sound for the congregation, making it particularly valuable for seasonal orchestra performances and traditional services.

Deployment Options and Coverage

Speaker deployment flexibility ranges from traditional stereo to full 360-degree coverage. The 180-degree deployment, using three to six speaker arrays across the front, provides enhanced spatial resolution and natural sound placement. For more immersive experiences, the 180-plus configuration adds extension speakers, creating wider coverage without requiring full surround sound installation. These options help houses of worship balance their specific needs with infrastructure requirements.
