- There are several ways to set up a monitor mix in both live and studio environments. As the audio engineer you’ll need to decide if the aux sends should be pre or post processing and pre or post fader.
- Having a strong and ambient monitor cue mix is important. Every monitor mix needs a time reference (ex:click track) and pitch reference (ex:keys). You want the artist to hear what they need and want, without overloading the mix and their ears.
