Core Values of Church Production

10 Videos 44 minutes 101 Leadership
There are certain core values to every church production team. Balance excellence with the flexibility needed for church services and learn to prioritize the church’s mission over perfect production. Todd Elliott, Founder of FILO, discusses the core values of church production.

The Role of Church Production

Recognize the value of your skills in the church. See how they contribute to the mission. Embrace the importance of caring deeply about production details and striving for excellence. Learn the difference between striving for excellence and chasing unattainable perfection. Excellence looks different in every context. It's about using all available resources well.

Handling High-Pressure Situations

Use the strategy of waiting five minutes before reacting to surprises. This will help you stay calm and find solutions. Focus on preparing the 80% of known elements and be ready to adapt to the 20% of unknowns. Make strong main plans with good backup plans.

Embracing and Learning from Mistakes

Use mistakes as learning opportunities to continuously improve team skills and processes. Build trust within the team and with church leadership, focusing on collaborative problem-solving. Prioritize the church’s main mission. Be willing to adjust plans accordingly. Support and trust in leadership decisions, even when it means changing well-prepared elements.
