Managing Vocal Sibilance
Some vocals can have a distracting “SSSSssss” sound once we've EQ'd and compressed them. To solve that, we have another form of a compressor called a De-esser. Jeff walks us through how to use the Waves Sibilance De-esser plugin.

- It’s easy to overdo it with a De-esser. Remember to use it within reason, and if your vocalist all of a sudden has lost a lot of clarity, take a look at how intense your de-esser is.
