Controlling Lightkey from ProPresenter on the Same Device
Description
Running ProPresenter and Lightkey on the same computer lets you automate lighting directly from slide changes or macros, which is ideal for teams with limited volunteers. This setup uses MIDI notes to connect the two applications, allowing you to trigger lighting cues in Lightkey as you progress through a presentation in ProPresenter.
Initial Setup
Enable IAC Driver: Use the Audio MIDI Setup to create a virtual connection between the apps.
ProPresenter Device Settings: Create a new MIDI device and select Lightkey as the destination.
Auto Reconnect: Keep MIDI communication running even after a reboot.
Triggering Cues
Using Macros: Assign MIDI Note On commands with custom channels and note values.
Assigning to Slides: Add MIDI actions directly to ProPresenter slides for dynamic transitions.
Automate Entire Songs: Program different cues for each part of a song, like verses and choruses.
